MY THOUGHTS ABOUT 9/11
© 2006 Stairwell Stories All rights reserved. Well my friends, what can I say about September 11th 2001, that has not already been said. It was by far the worst day of my entire life so far here in NYC. I remember it vividly and it still haunts me to this day. I would like to first take this moment to pray for all the people we lost that day around the nation. And pay a tribute to all the emergency services men and women who put their lives on the line rescuing people that infamous day. Also would love to pray for all the men and women of our heroic military that we have lost during our war on terrorism and Iraq. And thank our special forces men and women who caught Saddam Hussein like the rat that he was hiding in a hole outside of Tikrit! Thank God we are a nation of strength and resolve. We are really going to need to put our differences aside and come together. In order to make sure that this tragedy never occurs again in our lifetime. My whole journey with " Stairwell Stories " started on the 88th floor stairwell in WTC number one, almost four years ago. I don't remember much of the details from the shoot. All I remember is being nervous and excited. And my heart racing like a runaway train as I took pictures. I still can't believe to this day, that they are gone forever. A pair of beautiful majestic twins which took so long to build, were destroyed in a few moments. That's one of the reasons that I love photography so much. I capture moments in time that will never happen ever again. The main picture you see of the World Trade Center here. Was shot on a hot summer day a few years back from the roof of a building. That was a great day to shoot and I took advantage of the beautiful setting sun behind the towers. This is the way I will remember them forever.
